1. Who we are

EDU Online English operates the parent platform at onlineeduca.com (“we”, “us”). We provide live online English classes for children and a shop of digital and print learning materials for home use. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Parent name and email (demo bookings, enrolment, shop invoices, contact form);
• Child’s first name, age band and proficiency level;
• Class choices, attendance cycle dates, and ClassIn scancodes we issue;
• Messages you send to a teacher after enrolment;
• Shop basket contents and whether you chose digital or printed delivery;
• Technical data needed to run the site (for example security tokens from Google reCAPTCHA v2).

We do not publish email addresses or telephone numbers on the public website.

3. How we use it

• To book demos, confirm times, and send calendar reminders;
• To enrol a child, issue class access codes, and open teacher messaging;
• To generate invoices/receipts and track 9-week enrolment periods for renewal reminders (in-platform, and email or SMS if those channels are enabled);
• To fulfil shop orders (download access or postage of printed copies);
• To reply to messages sent through the contact form;
• To produce internal finance reports, including an administrative fee percentage on each transaction for the business owner.

4. Payments

When a payment gateway is connected, card or wallet details will be collected by that provider — not stored in our public website files. Funds are directed to a single designated business account. We retain records of amounts, invoices and the calculated administrative fee for accounting. You will be told which gateway is live before the first real payment.

5. Children’s information

We collect only what is needed to place a child in the correct class (typically first name, age group and level). We do not display children’s details in public directories. Parents remain the account holders.

6. Sharing

We share information with the assigned class teacher and the Principal for that age band (Ilse or Yolande) so they can run the class and message you. We may share what a payment provider requires to process a transaction. We do not sell personal information. Shop files are licensed to your household only.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, subject to legal retention needs (for example invoices). Use the contact form on this website. We use essential cookies for site function and to remember cookie-banner choice; we do not run advertising trackers.
